I've even smelled it the next day when waking up. It smells clean, soothing, fluffy, cozy and delicious all at once. I've been wearing this since it first appeared in Victoria Secret back in the day when they carried a full collection. It made me feel completely sexy and confident. The opening has vanilla and black cherries, delicious!!! it's like spraying dessert all over your body! So anytime I smell any of these scents, it takes me back to the "good ol'days" of my youth, lol:). I don't smell vanilla - just sugar. I was ready for a committed relationship with it. I got these gifted in a VS Gift Pack consisting of 3 fragrance mists and 3 lotions. I purchased this a few years back along with Love Spell, and I LOVED IT! Complete Waste of money. I like it and I have nothing to complain about. Not at all, just when you spray it, but then Fire and Ice becomes dense and mature, unlike Amber Romance which remains sweet and soft. Also, this scent pairs well with a bold red wine, and chick comedy TV or Reality show (Top Model or Project Runway anyone? My man hated it. I'd wear it all seasons. This perfume is perfect during the fall when the cold climate starts to settle in. The body lotion is best due to the strong alcohol smell of the EDT, as with all of VS body sprays. Here in Brazil we're on our first cold front of the year (even being weeks into autumn already). It's sweet, yet balanced out so that it's a perfect blend of vanilla and fruit. For something that is a gourmand, this one never gets sickenly sweet. Victoria's Secret Amber Romance is the first VS scent I bought many years ago. cause i found it pretty powdery and sweet. Love this scent. It was pure alcohol, that's it. Sadly no lotion or mist or shower gel in store, they say it's not a popular scent, boo. Be prepared for compliments too. I have to say that Amber Romance stands on its own among other Amber scents that I've tried so far. The sillage and the longevity are great on me. This is one of Victorias Secrets Best Secret Garden Scents! Love it. So close to falling in love yet again :(. The silage is monstrous for a body spray and the longevity is even better. I feel edible wearing it. On my chemistry it is strong and powerful. I have had this in the body spray version for two years and just started using it this past week. I picked up a bottle of the fragrance mist today. I would even go so far as to say that it has an underlying freshness to it. I think this is a wonderful scent, really delicious. very warm and carefree. I own the bodyspray and when first sprayed it seems to become a sugar bomb but it quickly calms down to a furry and pleasant amber that plays nice on skin. I just don't like it on me. really good for those who want a budget friendly scent to be remembered by. The warm milky depth to the vanilla seems to be more present in cold weather, but the warm weather seems to bring out a carmalized vanilla scent which I'm assuming is the crme anglaise. If you have ever tried the body lotion, you know it's a special thing. Sweet, not sickly but feminine and indulgent. A beautiful soft vanilla that stays close to the skin but can be quite strong if you use more than 4 spritzes. funny my friend told me this fragrance is nice and she liked it. However I'm not planning to repurchase it. It also feels to me to be the strongest of the mists Victoria's Secret has. I will have to smell this one again to see if I'll feel the same way. See, I love this for a very specific reason. I felt like being toasted in vanilla one time as I was walking on a sunny and hot day. It's a very sweet and fruity fragrance. This is one of the first fragrances from VS with which I fell in love. It's warm indeed and sweet but in a good way. It is boozier, more vanillac, and blonder, and much sweeter. This used to be my absolute favorite scent however, I wore it way too much and so it made me want to barf so I coudnt wear it for awile but I gave it a break and now it smells better than ever. Lol. lol. I'm not a fan of amber scents, except this one. IMO, the closest VS has to a masterpiece. There is a lot of vanilla here which predominates, but there is also something else - something heavy and sweet and almost nutty. I think this is cozy and lovely. What cherries? This is my go-to favorite scent! It has a very cupcake-like, artificial vanilla scent to it. Hahaha. When I unsure of my day or mood it gives me life. This stuff smells soooooo good! So there is this website that sells solid perfume sticks, and one of them is called Afterglow and it smells just like this! Definitely a long lasting scent. And in addition I think that, if love had a scent it would be this. Deep, warm, musky scent. My daughter asked my why my perfume smelled like soap.
